In some instances temporary decommission is required:
Using one of our petroleum regulated tankers we are able to uplift and dispose of tank residues.
After the tank has been emptied we can then proceed to:
- Water fill the tank to capacity which totally inerts the tank.
It is also advisable to fill the tank chamber with sand and to place a concrete screed over the manhole chamber to provide a level of security. The time limit for temporary decommission with water for this can vary from authority to authority but generally is between 6 – 12 months. We suggest you contact your licensing officer before embarking on this route.
